Classic Cutterz
Classic Cutterz is a collective that consists of 6 DJ’s and 2 MC’s from The Netherlands. In 2010 they joined forces to become a superteam with one common goal: to bring back that oldschool party vibe! With their diverse musical backgrounds and many years of experience (most of the Cutterz have at least 10 to 15 years of club experience) they have combined the best that their country has to offer.
The Classic Cutterz are specialized in all the ‘Oldschool’ genres and can take you from Funk, Soul and Disco to New Jack Swing, Classic R&B/Hip Hop/Dancehall and even to Classic House/UK Garage.
Aside from their musical knowledge and club experience the Classic Cutterz have an extra strength: this crew has some of the best turntablists* in the business. This allowes them to add some amazing scratches and tricks to their party sets and give the people an extra visual treat. Add the 2 MC’s (a rapper and a vocalist) to the mix and let the party begin!
The Music
The term ‘Oldschool’ refers to music from the past. For the Classic Cutterz this means music from the 60′s/70′s/80′s (James Brown, Earth Wind & Fire, Chaka Khan, Cameo), to the 90′s (Blackstreet, Jodeci, Naughty By Nature, Craig Mack), up to the beginning of the new millenium (2000-2003). The beautiful thing about Oldschool is that every year new tracks can be added to this ever expanding list of music, because today’s hit records will be considered classics 10 years from now!
It’s Partytime
For the Classic Cutterz it’s all about the party vibe. Going out should be about having fun and getting your groove on. At a Classic Cutterz party you can truly enjoy the best oldschool tracks from each genre and before you know it you’ll be doing the electric slide and the running man!
Bookings
You can book any DJ or MC from the Classic Cutterz roster and all combinations are possible. Their individual skillz and specialities are listed on their personal artist pages. The Classic Cutterz can be booked for many different events ranging from a New Jack swing/Classic R&B night to an Oldschool Hip Hop party to a nice Classics party, etc. It’s also possible to book a Classic Cutterz party. In this case the Classic Cutterz will host the event from start to finish. 3 DJ’s and 1 MC will provide all the ingredients for a perfect 100% Oldschool party!

*Turntablists are DJ’s who use their turntables as an instrument. Through the use of turntable tricks and scratches they can create new musical patterns from the music on their records.
